Dr. Nick Fisk
Dr. Nick Fisk is the fearless leader of the Fisk lab and a Associate Professor of Chemistry. Read more about Dr. Fisk's research interests and background by clicking "About Nick Fisk". Dr. Fisk enjoys golf, reading and dogs.
Dr. Meg Schmitt
Dr. Schmitt is the senior scientist and lab manager for the Fisk lab. She earned her Ph.D. in chemistry in the laboratory of Sam Gellman at the University of Wisconsin Madison in August 2005. She has worn many hats, often simultaneously, in the Fisk lab since August 2010.
Jillyn Tittle
Jillyn joined the Fisk Lab as an undergraduate research associate in Spring 2019 after taking Dr. Fisk’s Honors Undergraduate Organic Lab in Fall 2018. She has been working on sense codon reassignment and understanding protein translation. Jillyn has spearheaded the development of our computational model of protein translation and is performing many many more evaluations of sense codon reassignment to gather quantitative data for isolating the relative quantitative importance of the factors that contribute to the overall fidelity of protein translation. Jillyn completed her MS in Chemistry in May 2022 and is beginning her doctoral studies in the CU Denver Integrative and Systems Biology program in Fall 2022!
Akash Patel
Akash joined the lab in Spring 2020 as an undergraduate research associate. Akash contributes primarily to our M13 bacteriophage work.
Kevin Quinones
Kevin joined the lab in Summer 2022 as an undergraduate researcher. Kevin contributes primarily to our work understanding protein translation and expanding the genetic code.
Alex Harvey
Alex joined the lab in Spring 2022 as an undergraduate research associate. Alex contributes primarily to our M13 bacteriophage work.
Brody Reynolds
Brody joined the lab in Summer 2022 as an undergraduate research associate. Brody contributes primarily to our work understanding protein translation and expanding the genetic code.
Selia Abnoossi
Selia joined the lab in Summer 2022 as an undergraduate researcher. Selia contributes primarily to our work understanding protein translation and expanding the genetic code.
Maria Prosperi
Maria joined the lab in Summer 2022 as an undergraduate research associate. Maria contributes primarily to our work understanding protein translation and expanding the genetic code.
